TROLL SCIENTISTS - Exogenic Records

The eclectic Suomi influenced beat bizarre Troll Scientists was formed around 2001 by two talented producers Jani Inkeroinen and Staffan Ström. Helsinki based duo has left a permanent trace in the Finnish and worldwide psy-trance and Goa-trance community with their highly psychedelic and yet deeply original production.

Troll Scientists, with their home stereos filled with such bands as Logic Bomb, KoxBox and Hallucinogen and taking influences from almost everything they have heard, from heavy metal to psybient and from jazz to gabber, Jani and Staffan decided to put their minds together and make music they wanted to hear on the dance floor.

Since then Troll Scientists have produced their extraordinary sounds by cooking a mixture of ingredients such as Goa, full-on suomisoundi and a vast variety of other genres, part of them still unknown. This scientific approach to psychedelic music definitely had a strong impact on dance floors all around the world and have been used even as a remedy for those who have long since lost their hope in to the mainstream psy-trance music.

Due to their numerous free online releases Troll Scientists have reached the hearts of thousands of people around the world and have been seen on stages around Europe and Russia.

In 2007, Troll Scientists released their debut album Useless Science on Space Boogie Productions. The album gained much interested attention especially with its originality and was even said “...to bring the psychedelic back to psy-trance”. Troll Scientists are going to continue their experimental researches this year with their new second album Sir Eel which will be released on May 7, 2009.

Besides Troll Scientists the duo is also producing psybient and dub influenced chill out project Trollz In Dub on Exogenic Breaks Records.
